Visit to the Governor of Edo State

We had the honor of meeting with His Excellency, Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State, to introduce our versatile IRESS Solar Backpack—a pioneering solution designed to address the critical energy needs of unserved and underserved communities nationwide and beyond.
This meeting marked a pivotal moment in fostering collaboration between IRESS Limited and the Edo State government, as both entities strive to create sustainable energy solutions that can positively impact countless lives.
The IRESS Solar Backpack is an innovative, portable solar-powered device, equipped with a robust lithium-phosphate battery, a foldable hard-shell solar panel, and an advanced inverter system. Designed with versatility in mind, this cutting-edge technology is capable of powering essential services such as education, healthcare, communication, and small businesses—particularly in areas where traditional energy infrastructure is lacking.
Governor Obaseki expressed deep interest in the transformative potential of the IRESS Solar Backpack, and its ability to address the persistent energy challenges faced by remote and rural communities in Edo State. He was especially enthusiastic about the backpack’s potential to revolutionize the education sector and enhance the EdoBEST program by powering classrooms, laboratories, and enabling the use of electronic devices for teaching and learning.
This discussion underscored the shared commitment of IRESS Limited and the Edo State government, marking the beginning of what promises to be a highly productive partnership. Together, we are poised to make significant progress in expanding energy access, fostering economic growth, and enhancing social well-being throughout Edo State—ensuring that even the most remote communities benefit from sustainable and reliable energy solutions.
